    Comments, Additional Information, References

Peaslee House was built in the late 1830s or 1840s by Master stonecutter James Peaslee, who lived in the home until his death in 1881, and his brother. The home was built on one of the original lots of Truman Gilbert, another early settler. 27 years later Justice of the Peace, N.C.J. Kostrup paid $500 for it.
